Yes. For the trial, install HorlogeTV on your current Windows computer, desktop or laptop: on a regular screen the clock is shown centred in vertical format. You can judge the look, the themes and the setup from your phone without buying anything. The vertical screen and the dedicated mini-PC are only needed for the final installation. HorlogeTV runs on Windows only; on a very modest computer the animation may be less smooth than with the recommended hardware.
HorlogeTV is a professional digital signage solution that turns a portrait LCD screen into an animated clock and an elegant communication medium. Display clocks, real-time weather, scheduled messages, animations and much more. Ideal for hotels, restaurants, companies, medical practices and coworking spaces.
HorlogeTV runs on a Windows computer connected via HDMI to your portrait LCD screen: a mini PC, a small silent box (the size of a hand) that mounts behind the screen, or an ordinary desktop or laptop PC that meets the same configuration. It runs the HorlogeTV Desktop application (Electron) continuously.
Recommended configuration — €300 to €500:
Tested example: the Beelink SER5 mini PC (AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, integrated Radeon graphics, 16 GB dual-channel, 480 GB SSD, 4K output at 60 Hz, around €400) runs HorlogeTV smoothly, in Full HD as in 4K. This model is given as an example; any mini PC matching the configuration above will do.
Avoid: mini PCs with an Intel N95, N97, N100, N150 or N305 processor. Their single-channel memory cannot sustain the animation at 60 frames per second once the hands are displayed, whatever the rest of the spec sheet. A model sold with a single memory module has the same flaw.
Internet connection (WiFi or Ethernet) required for synchronisation.
Optional hardware:
The PC boots automatically and launches HorlogeTV at start-up — no daily intervention. The screen works even without an Internet connection (offline mode with the last configuration).
The PC (mini PC or desktop) connected to the screen runs the HorlogeTV Desktop application. The application displays your animated clock, in Full HD or 4K depending on your screen. You configure your messages, alarms and scrolling ticker from your tablet or smartphone. Changes are sent automatically to the mini PC within seconds. Everything is included in the subscription: the application, the themes, updates and support.
An Internet connection (WiFi or Ethernet) is needed to receive configuration updates, real-time weather and application updates. However, the screen keeps working even during an outage: the clock, scheduled messages and alarms remain active with the last configuration received.
The theme is chosen from your customer area. Each plan includes a fixed selection from the catalogue (5 themes in Essentiel, 10 in Starter, all of them in Pro, new releases included), in varied styles and all in portrait 9:16 format. The selected theme is applied immediately on your screen.
Yes, depending on your plan. The Starter and Pro plans include scheduled messages (text displayed at set times) and the scrolling ticker on your screen.
Yes, the weather is provided in real time through the OpenWeatherMap API: you create a free key on openweathermap.org and enter it once in the customer panel, together with your city. The data is updated regularly and includes the current temperature, weather conditions, multi-day forecasts and the matching animated icons. You set each screen's city in the customer panel to display its local weather.
The number of screens depends on your plan. The Essentiel and Starter plans include 1 screen, and the Pro plan lets you manage up to 5 screens. All screens are managed from a single customer area, with the option of applying different themes to each screen.
Log in to your customer area from your tablet's browser. The configuration panel appears next to the clock. Change the settings (messages, weather, scrolling ticker) then click Publish. The configuration is sent automatically to your mini PC.
HorlogeTV adapts to the resolution of your portrait screen:
The themes and animations are identical in both cases — only the resolution changes, at 60 frames per second. It depends on your screen, not on your subscription plan. On a landscape screen, the clock is displayed centred in 9:16 format.
No: the recommended configuration (mini PC or desktop PC with dual-channel memory and Iris Xe or integrated Radeon, €300 to €500) handles 4K at 60 frames per second just like Full HD. What matters is not raw power but dual-channel memory and hardware video decoding.
Themes, animations and features are the same in Full HD and 4K. The resolution depends only on your screen, not on your subscription plan.
Yes! The Pro plan lets you manage up to 5 screens simultaneously. Each screen can have its own configuration (theme, messages, weather). The customer dashboard lets you manage all your screens from a single interface.
Yes. The Electron Desktop application stores the configuration locally. The clock, scheduled messages and alarms work without an internet connection. Only real-time weather and the sync of new configurations require a connection.
No, all our plans are commitment-free. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your customer area or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We also offer a 14-day free trial to test the solution with no obligation.
Yes, you can change plan at any time. When upgrading, the difference is calculated pro rata for the time remaining in your current period. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle.
We accept payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe as well as PayPal. All payments are secure and invoices are available in your customer area.
